A Discount Never Meant to be

Chinese New Year is nearing...  time to do some light shopping first.

Went to Tesco on the last day of the year 2010.  Yup, to do a bit of shopping for the CNY and also Back To School Stuff.

What really attracts me was a discount never meant to be.    As you can see clearly, the Nestle Honey Star/Koko Crunch 300g before discount was RM  9.89... and was price was clearly slashed.  The latest pricing given is also RM 9.89.

Reviewing back what my primary teacher taught us.  RM 9.89 minus RM 9.89 would give us 0% discount...so whats the big deal with the Fa Chi Great Deals ?

Happy Birthday Princess Vyan !

December is the time for extra cake blowing !
Flipping back on my calender planner, it seems that I do have six close relatives falls on this birthday... starting from my little princess...Vyan !

Yes !  It's Vyan's Birthday.

Secret Recipe Golden Nugget
(Cake designed by my wife)

Again we ordered our usual cake stall, Secret Recipe.  Flipping and checking out the menu for what cake flavour that we have not tasted; we ended up with this Golden Nugget.

The nuggets are actually very nice, but what I heard from the boss, it seems that this cake is not very saleable at their outlet.  His outlet can only managed to finish one whole cake in more than one week.

Love and Hate Relationship between
these two kids.
One moment so loving (now)...
the next fighting (for who is eating the Hello Kitty Face)
Golden Nugget

Princess Vyan so happy that its her turn
to celebrate her birthday

Where is Papa !!

Biggest Snowman in Malaysia - Malaysia Book of Records (MBR)

Have you read or see anything on the newspaper on the record-breaking Snowman in Malaysia made of recycled plastic bottles ?

The record breaking snowman is made of recycled plastic bottles.  Standing majestically at 9.14m (height) and 6.1m (diameter), the Frosty Snowman is made of 15,000 1.5-litre recyclable plastic bottles.

The Snowman is located at AEON Bandaraya Melaka Shopping Centre, Melaka and will be at their complex's Centre Court in Jalan Lagenda from 20 November 2010 till 2 January 2011.

About 40,000 plastic bottles were collected during their recycling programme at all AEON shopping complexes and 90 schools nationwide.
Besides this snowman which used 15,000 plastic bottles, the remaining plastic bottles were used to make other Christmas decorations at other AEON outlets, including a 15.24m tall Christmas tree at AEON Bukit Indah

Oldies & Goodies Roasted Restaurant @ Cameron Highland

Food review.....

Looking for food in the early morning at Cameron Highland... visit Oldies & Goodies Roasted Restaurant.  The restaurant is located along the road to Strawberry Farm & Cactus Valley.  It is same row with Strawberry Moment.

We were actually heading to Strawberry Moment however the outlet only opens at about 10 something.

The restaurant was empty when we stepped in however most of their famous dishes were already finished.  It is just 9.30 am and no more ? Is that a JOKE ?...
Since is it just for a breakfast before shooting down to Genting Highlands, we called our own individual dishes.

The wantan mee here is just so so only, and cannot compared with those at low land.

Noodles with Crispy Pork

Noodles with BBQ Pork

Colourful menu
Barney with a "nice hat" !

Their front cover menu showing immortality soup... anybody wants to become Immortal ...please drink this soup everyday then.

The inside menu is quite colourful and detail with lots of variety.

The watercress with prune is indeed tasteless and it is the most expensive drink that we ordered.  I am not too sure is that the normal taste or they forgotten to add something.

Pick and pluck your own tea leaves @ Boh Tea Plantation

Looking to pick and pluck your tea leaves at your own will.....head to Boh Tea Plantation @ Cameron Highland.

Indeed is it incomplete if you visit Cameron Highland without visiting any of the tea plantation.
An advise to you, if you really into great scenery, nice tea factory and having a nice cup of tea while enjoying the scenery, please DO NOT FOLLOW me by making such a big mistake.  Head no where except for the Boh Tea Plantation at Sg. Palas and not Boh Fairlie Tea Estate in Habu area.

Fairlie tea plantation is located about 8 km from the junction at Habu.  Even thought it is just 8 km away, the terrible yet horrible trip of single lane road; narrow with sharp corners, one wrong turn and you will be heading free fall into the tea plantation.  A small mistake will lead you to either heaven or hell.

There is a tea shop and a small cafe at Fairlie.  Of course the shops and environment here could not compared with those at Boh Tea Sungai Palas.  Gheez, this is the first ever mistake i made... however, at least me and Ryan managed to climb up a small hill with a distance of 174 m up to the view point.  Ryan plucked about 10 tea leaves for me to make my cuppa tea at home.  Gosh, boiling the leaves like that..wondering what the taste would be without undergoing any process.
Upon climbing down, we visited the small factory but sadly there is no tour guide to explain to us all about the tea process.
